Busselton Show 2011

The Annual Busselton Show was last weekend - we went both Friday and Saturday so we could see everything.  It was a heap of fun and Henry really got into the spirit of it.

Playing clowns - he thought this was so much fun, and laughed every time he dropped a ball in.  The next day he had another go and scored one of the winning numbers!!
The three of them playing with some laser lights that were projecting over the grass.  This kept them occupied for ages.  We stayed late and watched the fireworks, something we haven't done as a whole family in a long time.  Jamie is terrified of loud noises and struggles to control his anxiety.  As a toddler Thomas saw Jamie's reactions and thought that was how you were supposed to react.  This was Henry's first time with fireworks and he loved it!!  He said "bang" "colours" "rainbow in sky" and smiled and giggled the whole time.
Day 2 and checking out the animals at the Fawna animal nursery - Henry said "hello" to every animal and spent a long time with each of them carrying out long conversations!  The chickens with the baby chickens hiding under the mummy were his favourite.
Jamie and Thomas had a go at the bungee trampolines.  Thomas was born a dare devil so he needed no encouragement whatsoever.  Jamie overcame his fears very quickly and managed to get some power into his jumps and even let go!
Henry walked around the entire showgrounds holding his bag of lolly snakes he bought from the Girl Guides and his Bert he won on the clowns.  It was a very big walk for a little buy but he was determined "no carry, no pram, I walk!"
There were prizes too.  Jamie came first in art with a picture of Reggie he painted at school.  Thomas came first in ceramics with a vase he made at school and 2nd in scuplture made of recycled materials with his Lunar Landing Module (Veronica came 1st!).  I managed 3 firsts, 4 seconds and best exhibit overall in the scrapbooking section!  Awesome!

Enjoy.
Amanda
