School is done!!!

We made it through the year, there were a few tears and dramas but all in all I think the decision to work full time was a good one.  Henry's speech and language has gone ahead by leaps and bounds, thanks to day care.  He had a speech review yesterday and is now considered to be age appropriate, although still needs encouragement and monitoring.
The highlight was the Year 3 - 6 Presentation Night.  Both Jamie and Thomas received the academic awards for their class.  We were so proud.  Didn't get any photos though, due to some other dramas that night - 3 massive blood noses between Henry and Thomas and then Thomas being unable to participate in the year 3 presentation piece.  Nevertheless they were both very proud of themselves!
Jamie completed the last piece for his Grey Wolf badge - cooking breakfast for me and himself.  It was delicious!
Thomas continues with his obscure Lego adventures - this one was a Wipeout course for the Clone Troopers to run through!
Henry finally decided that licking spoons from cooking cakes is FUN!
The tree decorating was left totally in the boys hands this year - none of my decorations have even come out of the box!  Henry has been very excited by anything "Kitmas" ... can't wait to see his face on Kitmas Day!

The space pod from the Year 1 / 2 presentation piece came home with us.  Henry has been playing in it, eating in it and probably would sleep in it if I let him.
All 5 of us are on holidays now - which has been wonderful.  Twister came out this week.  James is hopeless at it, Jamie is practically the rubber man and Henry just puts his hands and feet anywhere.
We managed to get him to sit on the toilet!  Nothing happened, but he was happy to sit there.  It's a start.
Me with Thomas's teacher Melissa.  She has been my rock this year, a wonderful friend and support as well as an awesome teacher for Thomas.  Sadly she has now left BCGS and will be moving to Queensland early next year.  I will miss her terribly.
Out at James's work dinner.  Thomas hid his book inside the menu and had fun tricking people.  Henry insisted on wearing his Kitmas Hat - too cute!

Thomas at his end of year strings concert.  He has done really well learning the cello, but will stick with just guitar next year.  Although year 4s also learn the recorder, plus Jamie will be learning a band instrument and is also in the steel pans band - it will be very noisy in our house!
 Thomas with his amazing teacher!
At the school Carols by Candelight - it was a lot of fun sitting on the grass, chatting and eating and singing.  I think next year we need to take Henry and James too and pack a proper picnic.

Enjoy.
Amanda
