What a couple of weeks it has been! Wild weather, sick kids, dramas at work, and cool achievements!!
A while ago at school we had a whole school photograph taken - every student and staff member. It was a massive production and involved about 4 separate photos that were then all photoshopped together. A few weeks later and over 700 massive photos, all laminated arrived at school to be delivered to every family, plus block mounted ones for display at school. These photos are about twice the length of an A3 sheet - huge! I had a stickybeak at one of them a few hours before the end of the school day and discovered that the photography company had spelled Cathedral wrong!! I immediately let primary admin know, they were horrified and raced up to tell main admin. Then admin people were hurridly making sure all the photos, which were all in labelled postpak tubes and had been delivered to all the classrooms, were stopped from going home. It is completely the photographers fault, but I would hate to be the person on the end of the phone call telling them about it. The cost to replace ALL those prints would be astronomical! Anyway, I have become known as super speller girl, and the year 1 teachers decorated me with as many stickers as they could!
If it wasn't official before, it is now! We, well Jamie, Thomas and I, are Dr Who freaks! All 6 series now belong to us. This is what we watch every Saturday and Sunday afternoon when Henry is in bed.
Thomas spied this World's Longest Sudoku in Dymocks and HAd to have it. All the sudoku puzzles on it are interlocking and stretch out to over 21 feet. To his credit, he has done a lot of the puzzles himself so far.
Storm power blackout number 1. Five hour power blackout resulted in pizza by candlelight for dinner.
Storm power blackout number 2. Two hour power blackout, great chance to toast marshmallows by candlelight.
Henry came down with croup during the second storm front - it was too dangerous to drive him to the hospital so we rode it out at home. And then again the next night. James took him to the GP on Thursday and he was put on steroids for 3 days. By Saturday he was still dreadfully ill, so I took him back to the GP. Result, one nasty chest infection. He spent that day snuggled up on the couch with his new Hoot beanie and the dinosaur jumper I made for him over 12 months ago, that he now just fits into!
Thomas has taken on the role of Sunday dessert cooking. This one was a self saucing chocolate honeycomb pudding - delicious. He did declare after this that he should audition for Master Chef! I think not buddy!
Jamie finally received his Grey Wolf award. This was 3 years of work and then over 6 months of waiting for the paperwork to be approved. But it was worth it - look how happy he is!
Came into the loungeroom this morning to see Henry busy putting this Bob the Builder clock puzzle together - I have never seen him tackle a puzzle like this independently and was very amazed to see him do it! Very cool bubba!
Enjoy.
