This is a layout about Henry's first trip to the beach last year.
And the next few layouts are all from Henry's album - documenting his first year.

More POTD
Henry loves books (wonder where he got that from??? LOL). He pulls all his books off his toy shelf everyday, carefully looks at all the pages, brings some to me to read for him and lately has started gabbling away while he is "reading" - so awesome!!!!
First time independently pulling up to stand on the furniture - go bubba!
And today my Project Life kit finally arrived - now I can print out all these POTD photos and start putting them in their album.
How do you like my photo of the crescent moon? Cool hey?
Are you wondering how I did that?
Well it is actually a present from Andrew for Thomas - called A Moon In Your Room - a battery operated moon that hangs on his wall, and cycles through the phases of the moon - he is in love and can't wait to go to bed tonight! Thanks Uncle Andrew!

School's back!
Yay, hooray, school is back today!! Jamie was up and ready to go very early. I sent him off to his classroom on his own this year (went to check on him after I had organised Thomas). Jamie was a little lost, with 30 kids bustling everywhere around the room and no routine set up, but his assistant had helped him find a seat with some kids he knew and everything seems fine.
Thomas needed some encouragment to get ready today, but once he was there and nabbed himself a seat at a table with his two best mates he was fine.
As for Henry and I.....I am loving the lack of arguments in the house right now. Henry is on the floor playing and watching ABC kids. I have to work out a new daytime sleep routine for him now that school is back. When he is busy and entertained he can stay awake all morning and then have a bigger sleep around noon, so that is what we are aiming for. Play and watch TV now, have some morning tea when he starts getting cranky, then go into town to run whatever errands we have, then back for an early lunch and then bed...hopefully he will sleep around 2 and a half hours and everything will work out fine......

Scrapbook Classes
Despite the lack of scrapbook pages on my blog lately I have actually done a lot of scrapping, just had little time to load them on to the computer...until today. These 8 pages are the ones I designed for the scrapbook classes I may be teaching this year ("may be teaching" because at the moment we dont have enough people to run the class - need 5, and I think there are 3 on the list right now). So here they are
Class focus - tearing, cricut, cuttlebug, painting chipboard
Class focus - coredinations cardstock (scratching into it to make the blackboard effect), notebook punching, crackle paint and dimensional magic
Class focus - stitching templates, layering embellishments, tags, clear embellishments and Stazon ink, swiss dot cardstock
Class focus - crumpling and tearing cardstock, stapling ribbon, using decorative punches
Class focus - cricut paper dolls, flowers, stitching templates, using paint
Class focus - using a picture page for a background, making own scallop paper, stamping on transparency, free hand stitching
Class focus - using paint, using vellum, stitching templates, decorating chipboard
Class focus - intricate cutting, doodling, stamping on transparency, creating own embellishments (arrow)

POTD 31/1/2010
Thomas loves science and exploring things and learning stuff, so for his birthday Grandma gave him a science kit she had put together (very similar to the one Jamie was given from Ganma a couple of years ago) - she found an awesome science experiment book and then bought all the stuff he would need to do the experiments. Today's picture is Thomas with some sugar crystals we made. Very simple - dissolve sugar in water at a ratio of 1:10 (1 teaspoon sugar, 10 teaspoons water), add some food dye, then leave it in a sunny place for a few days until all the water has evaporated and you are left with awesome sugar crystals!

Bruiser
Need I say anymore - the adventures of a crawly, trying desperately to stand up bubba! Yesterday it was a blood nose and fat lip from falling off his ride on, today it is a crashed head from trying to follow me out the front door!

Random Happiness
Some random shots from the last few days...
Henry has a new trick that he does a lot! Thank goodness he is finally doing something with his legs!
Big boys at the beach with Uncle Andrew's old boogie board - started to cause arguments this time, so I think one board is no longer enough.
Still having fun...looks like they are actually coasting in on a wave...not really.
Henry had enough of swimming, now stuffing his face with Daddy's favourite biscuits.
We all headed off to the Yallngup Maze on Monday - had a great time again, spent lots of money again! Here are Jamie, me and Thomas showing off our wristband passes...and Thomas lost his so he decided to show off a headless gingerbread man instead!!

Happy Birthday Tom Tom!
Thomas turned 7 on Friday. This is how he celebrated.
Opening his gifts at 6:30am - a Lego Star Wars visual dictionary....Jamie has read it twice already!
And more gifts - lego star wars, the latest Where's Wally book (which Henry spent ALL day trying to get his hands on) and a collpasing Sodor suspension bridge for his train track.
Lego almost completed, and it isnt even 9am yet.
Doing some fabric painting......on a t shirt.
Thomas and Jamie with Thomas's girlfriend ready to go to the pool for a play. We had been avoiding calling Thomas's friend a "girlfriend", but he insisted that's what she is! She is a very special girl to Thomas - lives on a farm, has cows and tractors but.....doesnt wear dresses, or have long hair and plays with Lego, and Star Wars and Nintendo DS and supports the Eagles footy team!
Playing with the bridge.
7 candles on a Wall*E icecream cake from Wendys.
Awesome T shirt designs....and yes Henry did one too. Jamie's is a caveman, the friend's one is a picture of all 3 of them at the pool and Thomas's is I love space!
Playing under the crazy sprinkler.
Cute little squishy bum...plus the usual Aussie flies, which are really really bad this year.
And the picture we have all been waiting for - Henry standing up with the assistance of furniture - although he cant yet get to this position on his own, he crawls over, puts his hands up, gets on his knees and yells until we help him up!
Enjoy. Amanda
